Role Overview

The Drivetrain Design Engineer will be responsible for the

design, development, validation, and production support of axle housing and drivetrain structural components

for automotive or off-highway vehicles. The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, cost-effective, and manufacturable designs from concept to production.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Lead or support design and development of axle housings from concept through production release.
Create and maintain 3D models and 2D engineering drawings using CATIA.
Perform design calculations and tolerance stack-up analysis to ensure fit, form, and function.
Conduct design reviews and DFMEA to identify and mitigate potential failure modes.
Support prototype build, testing, validation, and durability activities.
Optimize designs for weight, cost, performance, and manufacturability.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.
Provide technical support for production, quality issues, and field concerns.
Collaborate with vehicle integration, manufacturing, testing, and supplier teams.
Participate actively in the complete product development lifecycle.
Support supplier interactions, drawing clarifications, and engineering change management.
Willingness to travel internationally as required.
