Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Sound knowledge in Heavy Fabrication / Equipment drawings study and understanding different drawing views.
Experience in detailing of drawings in Auto CAD.
Minimum 2-3 years hands on experience in Nesting in Auto CAD.
Must be able to pick parts from Engineering drawings and draw flat pattern for same.
Must be able to segregate thickness wise plates from engineering drawings.
Must be able to calculate material requirement of plates and structural (ROD, Beams, Channels, Angles, Pipes) from engineering drawings.
Must be able to do structural (ROD, Beams, Channels, Angles, Pipes) nesting in Excel.
Must have knowledge of plates and structural sizes and grades available in market.
Knowledge of machining allowance so as to calculate material thickness required to be procured.
Experience in equipment fabrication industry will be an additional advantage.
Modifications of nesting as per available size in stock /available with supplier so as to minimise wastages.
Must have knowledge of commands of Auto CAD.
