QC & Service Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the

  primary point of contact

  for customers requiring service or technical support for high current rectifiers and transformers.
• Interact with customers to resolve

  commissioning and servicing issues

  efficiently.
• Provide

  online and on-site support

  to customers and site engineers across India and abroad.
• Conduct

  root cause analysis (RCA)

  and implement

  Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)

  for recurring issues.
• Analyze and maintain records of

  customer complaints and actions taken

  for continuous improvement.
• Ensure

  strict compliance with safety standards and regulations

  during all service and maintenance activities.

Testing, Quality & Technical Support

• Conduct

  transformer testing

  including all

  routine, type, and special tests

  as per IS/IEC standards.
• Perform

  in-process quality control

  for transformers, including

  supplier and fabricator visits

  for inspection.
• Maintain and calibrate

  tools and testing equipment

  for the service engineering team.
• Support

  production and testing teams

  with technical guidance when required.
• Plan and execute

  transformer testing

  in line with production schedules.
• Handle

  customer and third-party inspections

  for transformer testing and validation.
• Ensure all quality records are maintained as per the

  Quality Management System (QMS)

  .
• Coordinate with

  production, testing, and design teams

  to address and resolve technical issues.
• Implement and sustain the

  Quality Management System

  in totality across service and testing functions.

Technical Expertise

• Strong working knowledge of

  transformer testing

  up to

  25 MVA, 33 KV

  .
• Familiarity with

  various transformer types, winding configurations, and cooling systems

  .
• Thorough understanding of

  IS and IEC standards

  applicable to transformers.
• Knowledge of

  transformer type testing, special testing, and test documentation

  processes.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelors Degree / Diploma

  in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

• 5–10 years

  of experience in transformer and rectifier

  servicing, testing, and commissioning

  .
• Experience in

  customer handling, technical support, and team management

  .
• Hands-on knowledge of

  transformer testing instruments, calibration, and analysis

  .
