Draftsman

Draftsman :

Exp ; 2 to 20 years

Location : Pune (Chinchawad, Pimpri)

Must have experience in Boiler Domain

 Must be expert in Engineering Drawing and knowledge of Geometry.

 Must aware of calculations related to weight, area of any size and shape of components.

 Must be aware of Autolisp

 Must be able to address vendor/shop/site queries and provide appropriate solutions in

timebound manner.

 Must be ready to visit vendor shop/TBWES shop/Site at short notice, if required, to resolve

queries.

 Must be ready to work after-office hours and on weekly-offs, if required, based on workload

 Preparation of layouts, and schematics, orthographic, or angle views in 2D/3D to depict

functional relationships of components, assemblies, and systems.

 Develop detailed design, manufacturing drawings, bill of material and specifications for

systems and mechanical equipment’s as per requirements specified in shop capability and

relevant industrial standards using CAD.

 Check drawings, co-relate Bill of material for its correctness with respect to inputs and

various applicable standards.

 Update and revise drawings for changes needed by designers, process requirements,

customers, or consultants.

 Timely release of documents as per project schedule requirements, and commitments with

maintaining drawing accuracy.

 Issue the design output documents to various departments through ERP system.

 Manage drawing revision control, maintain drawing updates, drawing files, and quality

standards.

 Participate in providing inputs for standardisation, developments of new ideas for advance

drafting technique.

 Co-ordinate with colleagues and supervisors to share and understand updates, new

developments, and learnings. Stay updated with latest developments in job role activities.

Critical Competencies for the Job:

 Basic understanding of various manufacturing processes, welding symbols, units and

tolerances.

 Basic knowledge of proportion in component detailing and various standards used for

drafting.

 Through knowledge of 2D drafting with available CAD software’s. Knowledge on 3D drafting

will have added advantage.

 Knowledge on systems and components of Boiler and Heater (preferred).

 Understand engineering drawings, P&ID's, documentation procedure.

 Ability to work in Teams and relationship building.

 Networking and interpersonal skills.

 Good communication, teamwork, customer focus and result oriented.
