Job Summary:

The Document Automation Engineer specializes in Automation Anywhere's Document Automation capabilities within the Automation 360 platform to extract, validate, and process data from structured, semi-structured, and unstructured documents like invoices, contracts, and forms. This role focuses on integrating AI-powered Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) with RPA bots to automate workflows in finance, HR, compliance, and customer onboarding.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deploy Document Automation learning instances to extract data from PDFs, images, handwriting, barcodes, and tables using generative AI and OCR.
• Use Document Extraction package actions (Extract Data, Get Document Data, Update Document Data, Download Data) to integrate extracted data into RPA bots and enterprise systems like CRM or ERP.
• Create, train, and manage document models for 1000+ variations, handling validation, fuzzy logic, and custom workflows across 190 languages.
• Analyze business processes for automation opportunities, troubleshoot extraction accuracy, and optimize for high-volume processing.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to preprocess documents, flag low-confidence fields for human review, and embed data into end-to-end workflows.

Required Qualifications:

• 2–4 years of hands-on experience with Automation Anywhere A360, particularly Document Automation
• Proficiency in Document Extraction package, learning instance creation, and GenAI-enhanced features for tables and unstructured data.
• Strong knowledge of AI/ML for IDP, including data formats (JSON, CSV, XML), APIs, and integrations with Automation Co-Pilot.youtube​
• Experience with SQL databases, scripting (e.g., JavaScript/Python), and common use cases like invoice processing or claims handling.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field; proven problem-solving in production environments.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with cloud deployments (Automation 360), GenAI for complex extractions (e.g., tracking numbers, policy documents), and compliance workflows.
• Exposure to OCR providers, SDKs, or hybrid document processing (vector/raster PDFs, TIFF, PNG).
• Version control (Git) and CI/CD for bot deployment
