Role Purpose
The Django Backend Developer builds and evolves core backend services supporting a
multi-module healthcare platform, balancing modular monolith architecture with
microservices as the system scales.
Core Responsibilities
Backend Architecture
●Develop and maintain:
○Modular Django monolith (core workflows)
○Django-based microservices (scalable domains)
●Apply clean architecture and domain-driven design principles.
API & Security
●Build REST APIs using Django REST Framework.
●Implement:
○JWT authentication
○Refresh token flows
○Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
●Enforce API versioning and backward compatibility.
Domain Expansion Support
●Design services supporting:
○Patient
○Clinical
○Billing
○Inventory
○Alerts
●Enable future module onboarding without major refactor.
Data & Persistence
●Design PostgreSQL schemas.
●Manage migrations and data integrity.
●Optimize queries and transactions.
Integration & Quality
●Integrate internal microservices and external systems.
●Write unit, integration, and contract tests.
●Support QA and UAT cycles.
