Django Backend Developer

Role Overview: As a Django Backend Developer for a multi-module healthcare platform, you will be responsible for building and evolving core backend services. You will work on a modular monolith architecture while incorporating microservices as the system scales. Your role involves maintaining a balance between the two architectures to support the platform effectively. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain a modular Django monolith for core workflows. - Create Django-based microservices for scalable domains. - Implement clean architecture and domain-driven design principles. - Build REST APIs using Django REST Framework. - Ensure JWT authentication, refresh token flows, and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC). - Enforce API versioning and backward compatibility. - Design services supporting various domains such as Patient, Clinical, Billing, Inventory, and Alerts. - Support future module onboarding without the need for major refactoring. - Design PostgreSQL schemas and manage migrations for data integrity. - Optimize queries and transactions for efficient data handling. - Integrate internal microservices and external systems. - Write unit, integration, and contract tests to maintain quality. - Provide support during QA and UAT cycles. Qualification Required: - Proficiency in Django and Django REST Framework. - Strong knowledge of Python 3.11 / 3.12. - Experience with JWT, RBAC, and PostgreSQL. - Familiarity with monolith and microservices patterns. - Understanding of healthcare data handling practices.
