Payments

Digital Payment Platform operates through flagship brandCCAvenuewhich is a PCI DSS 3.2.1 compliant payment gateway platform. With over 240 payment options connecting more than 55 Indian banks on a real-time basis, CCAvenue is one of Indias largest direct debit engines. It processes payments through net-banking, all types of credit cards, debit cards and digital wallets, including UPI payments. With operations in India and the Middle East, this business offers multi-lingual and multi-currency payment solutions to users.

As a pure-play online payment solutions provider, in India, we rank second by net profit share, third in revenue market share and first in number of wallet and EMI options that we offer to our merchants, while in the UAE, we rank second in payments processed among all the non-bank players.

Infrastructure

Data Center Infrastructure segment includes state-of-the-art Tier III data center built in collaboration with Schneider and IBM at GIFT City, Gandhinagar. The Company will run the captive workload through this data centre and will also open additional capacity as public cloud with the following services: Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) (blockchain platform, e-commerce platform), Database-as-a-Service (DBaaS).

Platforms

Technology Platform like BillAvenue is a unified interoperable online bill payments platform built on the Bharat BillPay (BBP) infrastructure developed by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI). It offers an 'Anytime, Anywhere' bill payment facility to customers across India through a network of agents via multiple payment modes with instant confirmation of receipt of payment.

ResAvenue is a fully hosted, plug-and-play booking engine that integrates directly into the hotel’s branded website, thereby enabling the Hoteliers to save big money on recurring high-end hardware costs, software licenses and expensive technical manpower.

BuildaBazaar and GeM are some of our other prominent platform brands in this business.

The Chargeback Process

  • If you receive a dispute for the order the acquiring banks debits our account for the same upfront and so we do debit your account for the same, they also provide us the timeframe in which the sub-merchant can provide the supporting documents so that we can present the case to the acquiring bank.
  • The chargeback will be reversed only if the card member reverses the chargeback, else it remains as a dispute. In case of a chargeback for 'transaction not authorized' the card member might have forgotten the charges as the charges on his statement appears as 'ccavenue.com/CHARGE'.
  • In the near future you may request all manual authorization for all the successful orders so that we can check the genuinity of the card member.
  • We would also like to bring to your notice that this reduces the chargeback, but still the card member can dispute the charges for other reasons. Also note that as per visa / master card rules customer has 180 days to ask for the chargeback. Also we would like to bring to your notice that in online delivery of chargeback cases we forward invoice copy to our concern gateway because of its online delivery and there is nothing being physical delivery.
  • However, we follow up the matter with the acquiring banks on a weekly basis and if we receive a reversal for the order we can reverse the same to our sub-merchant. If the dispute is not resolved then the sub-merchant has to bear the loss for the same.

Step by step handling chargeback

1) We receive a chargeback through our business partners banks.

2) Adding a chargeback through system with sending mail to the merchant.

3) Preparing documents for sending to the bank.

4) Once any additional documents is received from the merchant, forwarding to the bank.

5) Updating all the chargeback details in the file.

6) Following up with business partner’s bank through call or mails for the chargeback final status.
