Job Description

In this role as the Director, Strategic Sourcing & Procurement at Saks Global, you will lead a team to support global procurement efforts, collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute effective procurement strategies, and ensure cost efficiency, supplier performance, and risk mitigation. Reporting to the leader of Finance in Bengaluru, India, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of luxury retail. **Key Responsibilities:** - **Leadership:** Provide guidance and thought leadership in all strategic sourcing and procurement aspects. Recruit, train, and develop a talented team to achieve the team's goals and mission. - **Operations Management:** Offer strategic oversight and governance for tactical procurement operations on a global scale. - **Strategic Stakeholder Management:** Build and maintain relationships at various levels within the supply base and stakeholder base. Understand business needs and challenges to incorporate them into strategic plans and initiatives. - **Localized Category & Strategy Leadership:** Develop and implement best-in-class procurement category strategies. Collaborate with global category leaders to oversee an effective strategic sourcing and supplier management program. - **Market Analysis:** Stay updated on market trends, industry benchmarks, and competitive landscape to make informed decisions and maintain a competitive edge. - **Continuous Improvement:** Keep abreast of procurement technology trends and support the implementation of tools and systems that enhance processes and operations aligned with GSP technology and process improvement vision. **Qualifications:** - 12+ years of Strategic Sourcing and Procurement experience, with at least 6 years in a leadership role - Broad category experience, particularly in Technology, Marketing, and Retail Operations - Bachelor's/master's degree in finance, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field - Proficiency in Category Management, Contract Management, Supplier Relationship Management, and Purchasing - Strong stakeholder engagement, critical thinking, communication, and negotiation skills - Ability to manage senior leadership relationships effectively to foster collaboration and alignment with business goals - Understanding of business operations and financial principles to assess market trends, develop budgets, and make data-driven decisions - Excellent team building and leadership abilities At Saks Global, you will have exposure to rewarding career advancement opportunities, a culture that prioritizes a healthy work-life balance, and a benefits package for all eligible full-time employees, including medical, vision, and dental coverage.
