Job Description

As the Director, Strategic Project Management at Mastercard, you will play a vital role in driving the end-to-end execution of strategic business initiatives and global product solutions for key Mastercard customers. You will collaborate with various functional teams to develop comprehensive project plans, oversee execution, and ensure successful outcomes. Key Responsibilities: - Lead, coach, and develop a team of individual contributors and first-level managers within the PMO, fostering a culture of growth and development. - Independently manage regional and global portfolios, ensuring clarity of scope and key deliverables. - Facilitate timely decisions with internal and external stakeholders to overcome obstacles and meet organizational priorities. - Plan, track, and drive all phases of the product/software development lifecycle for strategic initiatives, ensuring commitments are met. - Monitor organizational KPIs, identify operational friction, and implement solutions for continuous improvement. - Cultivate strong internal relationships with key stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery and alignment with business goals. Qualifications Required: - Demonstrated experience in leading organization-wide portfolios and delivering end-to-end product solutions. - Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with expertise in problem resolution in complex projects. - Ability to apply Agile and traditional project management principles based on project needs. - Effective communication with both business and IT leaders, including executives. - Ability to manage challenging personalities, resolve conflicts, and maintain a productive team environment. - Thrive in fast-paced environments, handling multiple projects while providing credible leadership and assessing risks.
