Job Description

  • Revenue Accounting and Analysis:

  • Manage the close processes for the Companys revenue accounting systems, including resolution of errors and reconciliation of account balances.. Collaborate with the Revenue Recognition team to ensure accurate and timely revenue accounting in accordance with GAAP and ASC 606 and corporate close deadlines.. Implement and maintain comprehensive revenue policies and procedures.. Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue and deferred revenue information, including analysis of both balance sheet and income statement results compared to forecasts and historical actual results.. Ensure accurate and timely reporting to internal stakeholders and external auditors.

  • Compliance and Controls:

    . Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, accounting standards, and internal controls including monthly balance sheet reconciliations.. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies related to revenue accounting.. Process Improvement:. Identify opportunities for process enhancements and efficiencies within the revenue accounting operations.. Lead initiatives to streamline workflows and automate processes where possible.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    . Collaborate with Revenue Recognition teams, Financial Planning & Analysis, and other departments to ensure a thorough understanding of revenue accounting and future revenue recognition.. Act as a liaison between finance and other departments to address revenue-related inquiries..

  • Leadership and Management:

    . Lead and mentor the revenue accounting team to achieve high performance and professional growth.. Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.. Develop and deliver training programs for team members and other departments on revenue processes, systems innovations, and other relevant topics.

To ensure youre set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, ASC 606, and revenue recognition principles.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; Zuora Rev Pro and Tableau knowledge is a plus.
