Director - Program Development

Job Description

The Director - Program Development is a new senior leadership role that will oversee and integrate three core functions of Mentor Together: Curriculum Development , Program Excellence , and Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) . These functions are central to how we design, deliver, and evaluate our mentoring programs. This leader will set the strategic direction, guide the teams, and ensure all three functions align to deliver impactful, high-quality, evidence-based programming. The ideal candidate will bring a long-term commitment (minimum five years) and vision to strengthen our programmatic core and scale our national impact. Key Responsibilities: Curriculum & Training Development Lead the design and evolution of Mentor Together s learning frameworks focused on work readiness and well-being. Ensure integration between curriculum design and MEL frameworks to support outcomes-focused learning. Oversee the Curriculum & Content team s annual work plan, guiding the development of high-quality session materials and activities. Program Excellence Define and uphold standards of program delivery grounded in global best practices in youth mentoring. Collaborate with the team to create and execute an annual plan that drives continuous improvement. Oversee the development and refinement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all stages of the mentoring lifecycle. Foster a culture of quality, accountability, and innovation in program operations. Monitoring, Evaluations, & Learning Develop and implement frameworks for measuring both program processes and long-term outcomes. Select appropriate tools and methodologies to evaluate impact. Guide the development of dashboards and data insights (descriptive and predictive) to inform decisions and improve performance. Support and publish research and learning outputs that strengthen Mentor Together s leadership in the field. Skills & Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience in the development sector, including senior leadership roles. Proven experience in program design , impact measurement , or training & content development in a mission-driven organization. Demonstrated strategic thinking, problem-solving, and planning abilities. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
