Job Description

  • Lead end-to-end Programmatic and Biddable Activations (including planning, activation, monitoring/optimizing, reporting, recommendations) for medium to large-size client(s)
  • Liaise and develop relationships with senior clients to advise on specific channel strategy and be prepared to jump in and support the team on a day-to-day implementation as and when necessary
  • Lead the team on following and adherence of best practices across digital platforms as laid out.
  • Informed on account level details with focus on macro level discipline strategy.
  • Responsible for ensuring error free high-quality executions and reporting.
  • Responsible for ensuring clean closures/reconciliation of all platform/vendor billings.
  • Line manages 3-5 direct reports with as many as 10 indirect reports.
  • Leads the training and growth of direct/indirect reports.
  • Escalation point for internal/client level issues pertaining to digital activations.
  • Champion growth and use of programmatic platforms to bring in efficiencies and scale for Essence and our clients.
  • Has a good knowledge of and relationships with vendors to partner with them and add value to both the client and agency.
  • Proactively spearhead conversations to expand programmatic marketplace (publishers, data, platform, etc.).
  • Responsible for ensuring clear and effective communication between internal and external teams.
  • Responsible for ensuring any new 3 rd party partner/vendor platform is tested as mandated before activating.
  • Creates positive and motivated atmosphere for the team while handling stressful situations.
  • Responsible for identifying any resource gaps in the team and ensuring appropriate staffing is maintained.

Skills and Experience:

  • 8-10 years of professional experience with digital media preferably within a media agency/trading desk
  • Hands on experience and knowledge across programmatic and Biddable and Social platforms like - DV360, Google Ads, CM360, Meta, X, LinkedIn, etc.
  • Experience in working with and managing external Publishers and 3 rd party partners.
  • Experience with managing clients from platform expertise standpoint.
  • Knowledge of different programmatic trading models and their implications to both advertiser s inventory quality and publisher monetization strategies.
  • Familiarity with the current Betas across Google and Social platforms (eg: Meta).
  • Ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical people (clients, internal stakeholders, etc.) in a simplified manner.
  • Clear thought process & strategy to build on existing businesses.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a calm/positive attitude.
  • Competence in all Microsoft office software.
  • Positive and an open attitude is a must.
