Position Overview:

Director Business Development

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead overall business development strategy across existing and new global markets, especially the US region.
  • Identify, evaluate, and pursue high-potential business opportunities aligned with company objectives.
  • Build strategic partnerships to expand market reach and strengthen the companys competitive positioning.
  • Drive the full sales lifecyclefrom prospecting and lead generation to negotiation and closure of high-value deals.
  • Develop and manage a strong sales pipeline, ensuring consistent revenue achievement.
  • Set quarterly and annual revenue targets and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with enterprise clients, C-level executives, and key decision-makers.
  • Act as the senior escalation point for major clients and oversee key account management.
  • Lead impactful client meetings, business reviews, product demonstrations, and presentations.
  • Mentor, guide, and manage a high-performing Business Development team, fostering a culture of ownership and excellence.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, operations, finance, product, etc.) to ensure unified business direction and successful delivery.
  • Conduct in-depth market research to analyze industry trends, customer needs, and competitor strategies.
  • Translate market insights into actionable business strategies.
  • Oversee preparation of proposals, RFP responses, capability decks, and commercial documents.
  • Lead contract discussions and negotiations ensuring favorable outcomes.
  • Coordinate with legal and finance teams for contract finalization and compliance with policies.
  • Ensure timely closures and smooth execution of all business deals.
  • Utilize strong experience in international cold calling, outbound outreach, and global client engagement.
  • Apply solid understanding of US geography, B2B landscapes, procurement processes, and enterprise buying cycles.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in

    marketing, Finance, or Business Administration

    ; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years

    of experience in Business Development, sales, or strategic partnerships.
  • Proven record of closing high-value deals and driving significant revenue growth.
  • Strong leadership experience managing and developing a BD/sales team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with global clients and C-level stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Mandatory experience working with US B2B market clients.
