Director - Ad Monetization

As a key player in the organization, the candidate will design and implement the ad monetization strategy for Pine Labs" POS infrastructure, focusing on screens, receipts, and data-led opportunities. Building and nurturing a partner ecosystem including ad networks, agencies, and brand advertisers is crucial. The candidate will prioritize non-intrusive ad formats that enhance the customer and merchant experience while boosting revenue. In this role, the candidate will lead experiments, optimize monetization funnels, and collaborate with Engineering & Product teams to develop tech-integrated solutions. They will launch pilots, create monetization playbooks, and establish a go-to-market framework for merchants and advertisers. Monitoring ad performance, fill rates, and compliance with privacy regulations will be essential. The candidate should have 10-15 years of experience in digital advertising, ad tech, or monetization strategy, preferably in fintech, media, or B2B2C SaaS. Exposure to ad sales, media partnerships, and programmatic advertising is advantageous. Proficiency in integrating ad products into various touchpoints with a focus on user experience is required. A data-driven mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams are essential. This role offers the opportunity to build a new revenue stream within Pine Labs, leveraging India's vast merchant ecosystem and consumer insights. The candidate will work in a culture that emphasizes ownership, agility, and forward-thinking. A strong academic background, such as an MBA, PGDM, or engineering degree from Tier 1 universities, is preferred. While not mandatory, an engineering background would be advantageous.
