Direct Tax

Purpose of the Position

1. Responsible for all transfer pricing planning & compliances with strategic advisory inputs to the management of SAVWIPL. This includes strategizing and managing annual TP compliance, monitor margins on a timely basis, collate relevant back-up documentation and engage with various stakeholders to ensures adherence to arms length principal.

2. Support for providing inputs on new business proposals/transactions in consultation with Head of Direct Tax by providing inputs on agreements/DLVs and ensure that group TP practices are consistently followed.

3. Support for Tax Centre of Excellence and represent VW AG Group Tax Team of Germany as a key tax responsible for countries in APAC region Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia, etc.

4. Support the controlling function for steering the business model from Transfer Pricing perspective, engage into discussions for
Bi-lateral Advance Pricing Agreement/Mutual Agreement Procedure.

5. Support in devising the litigation strategy along with Head of Direct Tax by having direct discussions with Senior Tax Counsels and Tax Consultants.

Description:

1. TP compliances and litigation of SAVWIPL TP compliances.

2. Support for APA/MAPs and discussion with consultants and tax authorities to sign the APA/ MAP.

3. Regular Transfer pricing updates/ MIS to the management

4. Group tax (K-FS-4) function for 4 Group entities, Group Master File preparation

5. Provide active inputs on strategic topics from direct tax perspective

6. Tax Automation projects, trainings, preparing presentations, participation in special project.
