Direct Tax Executive

Summary

Under limited supervision, this role prepares tax returns for the JR Simplot Company and affiliates in a timely manner. Assures company compliance with regulations. Administrator for income tax preparation software, including the consolidation process.

Key Responsibilities

• Works with business units to keep them informed about tax implications of their operation.
• Keeps informed about appropriate federal, state and local tax regulations and obligations.
• Helps junior staff learn the appropriate regulations, filing procedures and internal communication needs.
• Reviews and prepares tax returns for the organization in a timely manner as required by law. Gathers all necessary information.
• Organizes/understands the tax department computer system. Administrator for income tax preparation software, which includes the consolidation process. Maps the new JDE account structure to the tax return.

Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4 year college or university
