Digital Twin & Sensor Network Lead

The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of IoT sensor networks, telemetry protocols, SCADA systems, and model coupling with platforms like SWMM, MIKE URBAN, or Info Works ICM. You will be responsible for designing resilient field networks, ensuring continuous data acquisition, and calibrating a digital twin model that supports real-time decision-making for urban flood resilience and storm-water management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and procure field sensor systems (level, flow, rainfall, pump SCADA taps), enclosures, comms (Lora WAN/4G/NB-IoT), and power.
• Commission edge gateways and ensure data redundancy, alert delivery, and network resilience.
• Integrate telemetry into real-time models (SWMM, MIKE URBAN, Info Works, HEC-HMS); calibrate and validate outputs.
• Set up time-series data platforms (e.g., Influx DB, Timescale DB) and dashboards (Grafana) for monitoring and alerts.
• Implement health monitoring (battery, signal, drift, downtime) and SOPs for field maintenance.
• Document commissioning processes, calibration logs, SOPs, and sensor maps.

Experience Required:

·      6–10 years in deploying telemetry/SCADA systems in water/flood contexts.

·      Proven experience integrating real-time sensor networks with hydrologic or hydraulic models.

·      Experience with smart city, AMRUT, Jal Shakti, or donor-funded urban infrastructure projects preferred.
