Job Description

GNSS/DGPS Specialist

contractual position

Key Responsibilities:

Operate and manage
Emlid GNSS/DGPS systems
(e.g., Reach RS2/RS3) during drone-based LiDAR surveys
Perform base-rover setup, logging, and coordinate referencing using government benchmarks or known points
Assist with pre-survey planning and post-survey data download, QC, and handover
Collaborate with drone pilots and data analysts to ensure high-accuracy outputs for topographic and elevation mapping
Maintain field notes, survey logs, and meta-data documentation
Troubleshoot and resolve GNSS-related issues on-site

Required Qualifications & Experience:

Minimum
2 years of hands-on experience
with GNSS/DGPS systems in the context of
drone surveys
Proven expertise in
Emlid Reach
systems – including setting up RTK/PPK workflows
Familiarity with
geodetic control
, base station workflows, and integration with LiDAR survey missions
Basic understanding of drone photogrammetry and LiDAR data pipeline
Comfortable using survey-related software such as Emlid Flow, QGIS, and Cloud-based file transfer tools
Strong attention to detail and field documentation
