About the Opportunity

A leading organization in the Steel industry is seeking a highly experienced General Manager, Finance & Accounts to steer its finance function across Northeast. Operating on-site, you will join a dynamic team committed to driving excellence, transparency, and sustainable growth in a high-stakes economic environment.

Role & Responsibilities

Lead the strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closings.
Ensure strict adherence to statutory regulations and internal corporate policies, safeguarding financial integrity and compliance.
Oversee accurate financial reporting and analysis, providing actionable insights to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
Direct comprehensive internal audits and enforce robust internal controls to mitigate risks and optimize operational performance.
Drive continuous improvement within finance and accounts processes, leveraging best practices to enhance efficiency and profitability.
Mentor and lead high-performing teams, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and professional growth.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have:

Extensive experience (3+ years) in finance and accounts management, ideally in large or complex organizations.
Proven track record in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and statutory compliance.
Strong leadership skills with a strategic mindset and excellent cross-functional collaboration abilities.
Proficiency in ERP systems, financial modeling, and advanced analytical techniques.

Preferred:

Professional certifications such as CA, CMA, or CFA.
