Role Overview

DevOps Engineer (Python)

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for high-availability applications.
• Build and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform/CloudFormation.
• Develop Python-based automation scripts to streamline operational tasks.
• Manage and optimize containerized applications using Docker and EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service).
• Monitor system health and performance using CloudWatch, Datadog, Grafana, and Splunk.
• Collaborate with development teams to enhance deployment workflows and system reliability.
• Ensure compliance with security best practices in cloud deployments.
• Troubleshoot production issues and drive root-cause analysis for long-term fixes.
  

Primary Skills (Must-Have)

• Strong experience as a DevOps Engineer with 6–8 years of hands-on expertise.
• Proficiency in AWS cloud services (EC2, S3, IAM, Lambda, etc.).
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar).
• Expertise in Terraform/CloudFormation for infrastructure automation.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS preferred).
• Strong proficiency in Python scripting & automation.
• Experience with monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Datadog, Grafana, Splunk).
  

Good-to-Have Skills

• Knowledge of security best practices in cloud and containerized environments.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
• Exposure to cost-optimization strategies on AWS.
  

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
