Carnot Research is hiring a DevOps Engineer (1–2 years experience)Join our rapidly growing product and AI engineering team as we scale cutting-edge research, agentic systems, and high-performance applications. Responsibilities

Build, manage, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins
Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar IaC tools
Manage containerized applications using Docker and orchestrators like Kubernetes
Monitor system performance, reliability, and uptime using modern observability tools
Work closely with backend, frontend, and AI teams to ensure smooth deployment and integration
Maintain cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure) with a focus on scalability, cost-efficiency, and security
Implement DevOps best practices: version control, automation, logging, rollbacks, and incident response
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues with a strong ownership mindset

Requirements

1–2 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineering
Solid understanding of Linux systems, networking basics, and shell scripting
Strong experience with Docker and container lifecycle management
Basic knowledge of Kubernetes (deployment, services, config maps)
Familiarity with CI/CD workflows and version control (Git)
Experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS/GCP/Azure)
Understanding of monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch, etc.)
Problem-solving skills, accountability, and a strong automation-first mindset
