Development Engineer - Electrical & Electronics

In this role as a Development Engineer- Electrical and Electronics at TVS Motor Company, your main responsibility is to ensure the development of EV vehicle parts and purchasing activities to meet the QCDD targets and achieve business goals. Your key responsibilities include: - Understanding, aligning, and signing off requirements for EV vehicle parts between TVS and suppliers, including: - SRS - Design validation - Part level validation - Testing after SOP (as per AOI / AOT) - Understanding EV related standards such as: - Functional safety relevant according to ISO 26262 - EMI / EMC - Software development procedures (e.g., ASPICE) - Country-specific homologation and converting them into part level specifications - Preparing manufacturing feasibility and APQP with suppliers - Estimating costs for tooling development efforts and part level, and negotiating with suppliers - Developing parts (Alpha to SOP) of BO EV parts as per agreed build-wise product maturity requirements - Initiating & completing PO/SA release for CBU / CKD / Imports / Spares - Mapping & implementing traceability requirements from child part level to finished product - Conducting packing sign off activity with suppliers - Analyzing, identifying root causes, developing solutions, and implementing them from Stage 30 to 90 in PQM Methodology - Obtaining PPAP, SPTR audit, signing off PSW & effect file transfer for all BO parts - Monitoring the validity of regulatory requirements - IMDS / Country-specific homologation requirements / QMS/EHS/ OHSAS/PCB for suppliers - Monitoring tool life through supply quantity & additional indicators such as appearance issues, porosity rejections, supplier rejection levels & initiating tool replacement activities Your functional competencies will include: - Manufacturing Process - Measurements & Metrology - Purchase Management - Product Cost Management - Product awareness - Manufacturing System - Engineering Materials - Quality Assurance - TVS Way - Problem Solving - Multi Language Skills Your behavioral competencies will include: - Communication - Interpersonal relationship - Personal leadership - Rigor in execution - Business Acumen - People leadership - Emotional Intelligence - Customer Centricity This is a White Collar - Regular position located at Hosur Plant, Tamil Nadu, India.
