Development Director - QA/QV

As a Development Director at Electronic Arts, you will be responsible for leading the strategy and delivery of the Quality Assurance plan for the Sims products. You will work with a growing team in Hyderabad, India, as well as partner with teams in Romania and North America. Your key responsibilities will include: - **Project Management** - Aligning teams towards outlined goals and ensuring milestone achievement - Balancing scope, timelines, and overall project quality - Identifying and mitigating risks, managing blockers, prioritizing tasks, and ensuring project goals are met - Ensuring effective reporting to leadership and stakeholders - **Team Leadership and Collaboration** - Building, mentoring, and supporting QA teams for professional development and effective collaboration - Promoting a culture of continuous improvement - Collaborating with multiple teams and stakeholders, including developers, analysts, and producers - Managing remote teams - **Process Efficiency** - Improving operational effectiveness by assessing current practices, incorporating new strategies, and increasing predictability - **Resource Management** - Managing scope and capacity across the Hyderabad QV team - Conducting budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis for cost-effectiveness and financial efficiency - **People/Talent Management** - Coordinating talent management and succession planning to enhance the testing discipline - Monitoring and evolving talent skill mix through training and recruitment plans - Fostering a culture of diversity and inclusion - Conducting performance reviews, career development, and training **Requirements:** **Experience and Knowledge/Education:** - 8+ years of game or software development QA experience, including 3+ years in a lead/managerial role - Experience in managing multi-discipline teams and working with remote teams **Technical Skills:** - Quality Assurance Leadership, Resource Management, Budget Management, Problem Solving, Process & Test Management, Quality & Risk Management **Soft Skills:** - Strategic Thinking, Leadership, Adaptability, Collaboration, People Management **Domain Knowledge:** - Team & Project Management, Team Leadership and Development, Industry Trends, Strategic Planning **Additional Details about Electronic Arts:** Electronic Arts values adaptability, resilience, creativity, and curiosity.
