Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Specialist to provide technical assistance and support to our users. The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting hardware and software issues, maintaining computer systems, and ensuring optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide first-level support for desktop and laptop issues.

- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and software applications.

- Troubleshoot hardware problems and perform repairs or replacements as necessary.

- Assist users with software applications and provide training as needed.

- Manage user accounts and permissions in Active Directory.

- Document support requests and resolutions in the ticketing system.

- Collaborate with IT team members to improve processes and resolve complex issues.

- Maintain inventory of hardware and software assets.

- Ensure compliance with company policies and security standards.

Qualifications:

- Associate's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.

- Proven experience in desktop support or technical support roles.

- Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems.

- Familiarity with networking concepts and troubleshooting.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified) are a plus.
