Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Desktop Support Executive to join our IT team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in hardware and networking, with a proactive attitude toward troubleshooting and support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide first-level support for desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT hardware.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and networking issues.
• Install, configure, and upgrade operating systems and applications.
• Manage LAN/WAN infrastructure and basic network configurations.
• Maintain inventory of IT assets and ensure timely maintenance and servicing.
• Monitor system performance and implement performance-tuning measures.
• Set up and maintain user accounts, permissions, and passwords.
• Ensure security through access controls, backups, and firewalls.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers for IT hardware and networking requirements.
• Document technical issues and solutions for future reference.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in desktop support, hardware maintenance, and networking.
• Strong knowledge of Windows OS, basic Linux commands, and MS Office tools.
• Hands-on experience with LAN, routers, switches, and basic networking protocols.
• Good understanding of IT infrastructure and system administration.
• Ability to troubleshoot independently and manage multiple support tasks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in hardware and networking (e.g., CompTIA A+, N+, CCNA) is a plus.
• Experience in IT support within a mid-size company or startup environment is desirable.
