Desktop Support Engineer

Job Title: L2 Technical Engineer – End User Support

Location: Chittoor- Andhra Pradesh

Years of Experience: 2+ Years

Key Responsibilities:

1.Act as the second level of technical support for end-user inquiries that have been escalated from the L1 support team

2.Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and networking issues for end users across various devices (desktop, laptops, printers, mobile devices, barcode).

3.Provide guidance and support for application software, operating systems and peripherals.

Document incidents and solutions in the ticketing system to contribute to the knowledge base.

4.Collaborate with other IT teams to address complex issues and implement solutions.

5.Monitor recurring issues and work towards long-term solutions to improve end-user experience.

6.Maintain current knowledge of IT products, services and practices.

7.Conduct training sessions for L1 support staff on new technologies and solutions.

8.Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technology.

9.Multi-Layer Network(IT & OT) understanding & Troubleshooting

10.Barcode: IP Scanners & Printer support (including Port communication) - Cognex 

12.Basic understanding of switching concepts & Strong Knowledge of VLAN concepts

13.Application-related service understanding & support

14.Strong Hyper-V hands-on experience

15.UTP Cabling

Preferred Skills:

3-4 Years of experience in technical support

Strong understanding of operating systems (Windows 10, Windows 11, Server 2019/2022)

Experience with troubleshooting network issues (LAN, WAN, VPN)

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively support users

Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
