Desktop Support Engineer L1

Job Summary

We are looking for a Desktop Support Engineer (L1) to provide first-level technical support for end users. The role involves troubleshooting hardware, software, and basic network issues, ensuring smooth IT operations and high user satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L1 technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals
• Handle IT tickets via Service Desk / ITSM tools (ServiceNow, Freshservice, Remedy, etc.)
• Troubleshoot Windows OS issues, MS Office, Outlook, and basic application problems
• Install, configure, and maintain desktop systems, software, and antivirus
• Support user account management (password reset, access issues) in Active Directory
• Assist with basic network troubleshooting (LAN, Wi-Fi, IP configuration)
• Coordinate with L2/L3 teams for issue escalation and resolution
• Perform hardware replacements and system upgrades when required
• Maintain documentation for issues, solutions, and asset details
• Ensure adherence to SLA and IT policies

Required Skills

• Basic knowledge of Windows OS (10/11)
• Understanding of hardware components & peripherals
• Familiarity with IT ticketing systems
• Basic knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
• Good communication and customer-handling skills
• Willingness to work in shifts/on-call support

Educational Qualification

• Diploma / BSc / BCA / BE / BTech or equivalent
• Relevant IT certifications (optional): CompTIA A+, ITIL (basic)

Preferred Skills (Good to Have)

• Exposure to Active Directory
• Basic knowledge of O365 / Email configuration
• Experience in corporate IT environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹23,000.00 per month
