Job Title: Desktop Support Engineer L1

Job Description:

We are seeking a Desktop Support Engineer L1 to provide technical assistance and support for computer systems, hardware, and software. The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting issues, resolving user problems, and ensuring optimal performance of desktop environments.

Key Responsibilities:

- Respond to user inquiries and provide technical support via phone, email, or in-person.

- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues on desktops and laptops.

- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and applications.

- Assist with network connectivity issues and printer setups.

- Document support requests and resolutions in the ticketing system.

- Collaborate with other IT teams to escalate complex issues.

- Provide training and guidance to end-users on software and hardware usage.

- Ensure compliance with company policies and security standards.

Qualifications:

- Associate degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.

- Basic knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems.

- Familiarity with common software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office).

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with Active Directory and remote support tools.

- Knowledge of networking concepts and troubleshooting.

- IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified) are a plus.
