Job Title: Desktop Support Engineer Level 1

Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated Desktop Support Engineer Level 1 to provide technical assistance and support for computer systems, hardware, and software. The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting issues, resolving user inquiries, and ensuring optimal performance of desktop environments.

Key Responsibilities:

- Respond to user requests for technical assistance via phone, email, or in-person.

- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues on desktops and laptops.

- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and applications.

- Assist users with account setup, password resets, and access issues.

- Perform routine maintenance and updates on desktop systems.

- Document issues and resolutions in the ticketing system.

- Collaborate with Level 2 support for escalated issues.

- Provide training and support to end-users on software applications.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or relevant certification preferred.

- Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking.

- Familiarity with Windows and Mac operating systems.

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with remote support tools.

- Knowledge of Active Directory and Microsoft Office Suite.

- Customer service experience in a technical support role.
