Job Description

As a Desktop Migration Engineer, your role involves handling the transfer of users, computers, and resources from one domain environment to another, often to a new or upgraded domain. This includes tasks such as user profile migration, device reimaging, and deployment of new devices in the target domain. Key Responsibilities: - Transferring user accounts, data, and settings from the source domain to the target domain. - Imaging, deploying, and configuring new or existing devices in the new domain. - Ensuring necessary software applications are installed and configured correctly on migrated devices. - Managing group policies to configure the new domain environment correctly and grant users appropriate permissions. - Providing technical support to end-users facing issues during or after the migration process. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in information technology or computer science. - Strong working knowledge of relevant Microsoft technologies, including Visio. - Expertise in Windows Operating System, including desktop administration, patching, configuration management, and troubleshooting. - Proficiency in Active Directory management, user accounts, group policies, and other functions. - Experience using migration tools like Active Directory Migration Tool (ADMT) and related utilities. - Basic knowledge of networking concepts and troubleshooting skills. - Effective communication skills to interact with end-users and stakeholders.
