Design Manager

Role Overview: As an Assistant Manager Design, you will be responsible for overseeing and driving the detailed design process of complex faade systems, from concept to fabrication stage. Your role will require in-depth technical expertise in aluminum and glass faade systems, design team leadership, and a proactive approach to project coordination with consultants, production, and site teams. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the preparation and review of detailed design drawings for various faade systems such as unitized, semi-unitized, structural glazing, stick systems, ACP, louvers, canopies, and skylights. - Evaluate architectural and structural inputs to develop technically compliant and feasible faade solutions. - Supervise the preparation of shop drawings, fabrication drawings, setting out plans, and cutting lists. - Conduct thermal movement analysis, wind load distribution checks, fixing system validation, and structural coordination. - Participate in technical meetings with clients, architects, and faade consultants. - Coordinate with internal departments to ensure aligned and timely design deliverables. - Provide expert-level inputs to support value engineering without compromising on safety or performance. - Ensure compliance with project specifications, material performance standards, and local/international faade regulations. - Ensure accuracy and completeness in drawing submissions, BOQs, fixing details, and interface coordination drawings. - Maintain change control records, revision logs, and design communication documentation. - Support in preparing technical submittals, structural reports, and mock-up approval documentation. - Mentor a team of design engineers and CAD draftsmen. - Allocate tasks, monitor progress, conduct internal design reviews, drawing checks, and client-ready submission audits. - Train junior engineers on system detailing, codes, and drawing standards. Qualifications Required: - Extensive hands-on experience in curtain wall systems, structural glazing, ACP cladding, and bespoke architectural features. - Proficiency in AutoCAD with exposure to Revit, Rhino, SolidWorks, or similar 3D modeling tools being advantageous. - Deep knowledge of faade components such as aluminum extrusions, glass types, brackets, sealants, anchors, fasteners, etc. - Strong understanding of engineering principles related to wind load, thermal expansion, water tightness, and safety. - Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil, Mechanical, or Architectural Engineering.,
