Design & Estimation Engineer

A Design and Estimation Engineer is responsible for developing both the technical design and cost estimates for engineering projects. This role involves interpreting technical data, creating designs, generating cost estimates, and coordinating with various teams to ensure projects are feasible and within budget. Key Responsibilities:

• Interpreting technical data:Reading and understanding technical manuals, blueprints, specifications, and other documents related to the project.
• Creating designs and technical drawings:Developing detailed plans and drawings for the project, often using CAD software.
• Estimating costs:Calculating the costs of materials, labor, equipment, and other resources needed for the project.
• Coordinating with other teams:Collaborating with project managers, other engineers, and stakeholders to ensure designs and estimates align with project requirements and constraints.
• Preparing documentation:Creating detailed reports, proposals, and other documentation related to the design and estimation process.
• Ensuring compliance:Ensuring that all work is in line with relevant industry standards and regulations.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Technical skills:Proficiency in CAD software (like AutoCAD or Revit), strong understanding of engineering principles, and experience with cost estimating methodologies.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills:Ability to analyze technical data, identify potential issues, and develop effective solutions.
• Communication and interpersonal skills:Ability to communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and clients.
• Organizational and time management skills:Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate records.
