Design & Estimation Engineer

Key Responsibilities:Estimation:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and quotations for interior projects.
• Study drawings, specifications, and tender documents to identify scope and requirements.
• Source and verify rates for materials, labor, and subcontractors.
• Evaluate vendor quotations and negotiate pricing when necessary.
• Ensure all estimates are accurate, competitive, and submitted within deadlines.
• Support management in project budgeting and cost control during execution.

Design:

• Develop 2D/3D interior design drawings using AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar software.
• Prepare detailed layout plans, elevations, sections, and joinery drawings.
• Work closely with clients to understand their design preferences and functional needs.
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure design feasibility and compliance with site conditions.
• Suggest value engineering options without compromising aesthetics or quality.

Coordination & Documentation:

• Liaise with architects, consultants, vendors, and contractors for technical inputs.
• Maintain accurate documentation of drawings, revisions, and cost updates.
• Assist in preparing material submittals and design presentations.
• Support the project execution team during installation and site coordination as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Interior Design, Civil Engineering, or Architecture.
• 2–5 years of experience in interior design estimation and detailing (fit-out or furniture industry preferred).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and MS Excel (knowledge of Revit or 3ds Max is an advantage).
• Strong analytical and numerical skills for cost estimation.
• Excellent attention to detail, time management, and multitasking ability.
• Good communication and presentation skills.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in modular furniture, workspace, or turnkey interior projects.
• Familiarity with various materials, finishes, and interior construction methods.
• Understanding of design-to-production workflows.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
