Electrical Design Engineer – Residential, Commercial & Industrial

Key Responsibilities

Design & Planning

Prepare detailed electrical design drawings, layouts, and single-line diagrams (SLDs) for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.

Perform load calculations, cable sizing, transformer and DG set selection, and earthing/lightning protection design.

Ensure designs comply with IS/IEC standards and local DISCOM/CEIG norms.

Project Coordination

Collaborate with architects, civil engineers, consultants, and project managers to integrate electrical systems into overall building design.

Provide technical guidance to site engineers and contractors during execution.

Review and approve vendor/supplier technical submissions for panels, switchgear, and other electrical equipment.

Estimation & Documentation

Prepare BOQs (Bill of Quantities), technical specifications, and cost estimates.

Assist in tender preparation and client technical discussions.

Maintain accurate design records, as-built drawings, and approval documents for UGVCL/Torrent/GETCO.

Testing & Compliance

Support in testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrical systems.

Conduct safety audits and ensure compliance with statutory regulations.

Liaise with government authorities for electrical approvals, load extension, and DG NOC work.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s/Diploma in Electrical Engineering.

2–5 years’ proven experience in electrical design (residential, commercial, or industrial).

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Dialux/lighting design software, and MS Office.

Strong knowledge of LT/HT systems, DG sets, UPS, stabilizers, switchgear, and protective devices.

Familiarity with local electricity board regulations and CEIG approval procedures.

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and team collaboration skills

Pay: ₹10,863.19 - ₹25,000.00 per month
