Position Overview

The Assistant Manager – Design Engineer will be responsible for leading design activities for

FRP and chemical process equipment, ensuring compliance with client specifications, industry

standards, and safety norms. The role involves managing a team of design engineers,

coordinating with production & project teams, and delivering accurate and timely design

outputs.

Key Responsibilities

 Lead the design and drafting of FRP equipment, tanks, scrubbers, ducting, and

chemical process equipment.

 Interpret client specifications and convert them into detailed design drawings.

 Review and approve GA drawings, fabrication drawings, and bill of materials (BOMs).

 Ensure designs meet ASME, ASTM, ISO, and other relevant standards.

 Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Project teams for design feasibility and

implementation.

 Provide technical support during client discussions, audits, and inspections.

 Guide and mentor junior design engineers and drafters.

 Drive design optimization for cost reduction, material savings, and manufacturability.

 Maintain proper documentation and control of drawings as per ISO procedures.

 Support R&D in developing new designs and innovations.

Qualifications & Skills

 B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Chemical Engineering.

 6–10 years of experience in designing FRP & chemical process equipment.

 Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or other 3D modeling software.

 Knowledge of design codes and standards (ASME, ASTM, IS, BS, ISO, etc.).

 Strong understanding of FRP materials, resin systems, and process equipment.

 Good communication and client interaction skills.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
