Design Engineer

As a Mechanical Design Engineer at our company, you will be responsible for designing mechanical and structural components for car parking systems. Your key responsibilities will include: - Designing various components of car parking systems such as lifts, turntables, and stacking systems. - Developing detailed 2D and 3D models using CAD software like Solid Edge, AutoCAD, Catia, and Creo. - Creating and maintaining technical drawings, BOMs, and assembly instructions. - Collaborating with electrical and control engineers for system integration. - Performing engineering calculations and stress/structural analysis as required. - Optimizing designs for cost-efficiency, safety, and manufacturability. - Supporting prototyping, testing, and validation activities. - Providing engineering support to manufacturing, installation, and after-sales service teams. - Ensuring that designs comply with industry standards, safety codes, and local regulations. - Engaging in continuous improvement efforts for design and process optimization. Qualifications required for this role include: - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field. - 2+ years of experience in product or mechanical design, preferably in automotive, heavy machinery, or construction equipment. - Proficiency in CAD software such as Solid Edge, AutoCAD, Catia, and Creo or similar. - Familiarity with FEA tools and structural analysis would be an advantage. - Knowledge of manufacturing processes like welding, machining, and sheet metal fabrication. - Understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, or electromechanical systems is a plus. - Good problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and strong communication and team collaboration abilities. Preferred qualifications include experience in designing automated or mechanical car parking systems, knowledge of industry standards such as ISO, ASME, and local building codes, and experience in project management or product development lifecycle. Please note that this is a full-time, permanent position with benefits such as health insurance and provident fund. The work schedule includes day shifts and morning shifts with a yearly bonus.
