Job Description


  • As a Deputy Manager SCM, you will play a key role in efficiently performing tracking on customer demand volume at economic order quantity at best logistics cost and at right time. Controlling production to ensure targeted inventory levels of components at WIP & FG level of min and max as per customer demand. Your responsibilities will involve managing strong supplier relationships, ensure timely and cost-effective preparation and implementation of production planning, logistics activities, maintain export documents & warehousing of company inventories at FG level.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the appropriate safe storage & movement of raw materials, finished goods & spare parts, to support the production process and eliminate delays.
  • Proposes and manages the logistics and supply departments budget.
  • Provides inbound and outbound logistics in line with delivery, service, quality, and cost objectives.
  • Organizes outbound logistics and coordinates inbound logistics to achieve service quality at the lowest cost and in safe condition.
  • Identifies, maintain relations, and conducts negotiations of logistics activities and services related items.
  • Responsible for timely delivery to customers
  • Provides plant / production manager with customer requirements.
  • Guarantees service continuity to secure the production plan while optimizing inventory levels.
  • Performs production planning and control based on customer volume.
  • Ensures Raw materials and components approved by quality department are consumed within expiry date.
  • Ensures FIFO is maintained in raw materials & components consumption and up to finished products delivery.
  • To communicate performance of SCM department activities & Customer requirements to Management.
  • Ensures safety in material handling, forklift operation, loading, unloading operations and follow as per safety rules and regulation.
  • Initiate and implement cost saving items. Achieve cost saving as per purchasing target.
  • Export Management- C & F Agents, Air & Sea Shipments, In Time Delivery.
  • 100% on Time Delivery (OTD) to Customer
  • Inventories are within Target Level


Preferred Skill Set:

  • Bachelor's/Diploma in Engineering (preferably Mechanical) or SCM-related field
  • 8-10 years of experience in SCM, preferably in the automotive parts manufacturing sector
  • Strong negotiation, planning, and supplier management skills
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (Business Dynamics preferred)
  • Analytical mindset with strong data interpretation capabilities
  • Effective verbal and written communication
  • Understanding of export/import documentation and procedures
  • Leadership and team management skills
  • Knowledge of lean supply chain practices and inventory optimization techniques.
