A day in the Life:
- Evaluate technical and commercial requirements through the examination of RFPs, RFQs, and tenders.
- Collaborate with sales, engineering, and service teams to develop customized solutions.
- Coordinate with Feeder Factories in US, UK and other locations for Techno Commercial Support.
- Understand and interpret specifications for environmental monitoring and analytical instruments.
- Work closely with the sales team for pre-bid queries and strategy.
- Coordinate with OEMs, suppliers, and internal engineering for technical clarifications and customization feasibility.
- Guarantee adherence to CPCB, USEPA, EN, and ISO/IEC standards.
- Ensure proposed systems meet applicable laws and performance criteria.
- Identify risks in terms of scope, delivery, penalties, or warranty clauses.
- Ensure cost estimation includes equipment, accessories, spares, installation, training, and after-sales service.
- Support contract negotiations where required.
- Develop proposal documentation encompassing cover letters, executive summaries, datasheets, tender documents, and arranging applicable certifications.
- Manage timely submission of proposals or tender submission on e-procurement/GEM/other PSU portals.
- Collaborate with project, procurement, and service teams to facilitate post-order handovers.
Keys to Success:
- Review RFPs/RFQs for scope, specifications, and compliance requirements.
- Draft detailed technical proposals, datasheets, and compliance matrices.
- Identify contractual risks and propose mitigation strategies.
- Proposal-turnaround time adherence.
- Reduction in submission errors.
- Develop competitive pricing strategies with finance and management.
Experience:
- Expertise in Analytical Instruments: Specialized knowledge of Gas and Liquid Analyzers, Industrial Process Analyzers, Gas Chromatographs, Mass Spectrometers, Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems (CEMS), Ambient Air Quality Monitoring Systems (AQMS), and coordinated Analytical Systems.
- Skilled in choosing products, composing technical and commercial quotes, verifying technical compliance, collaborating with vendors, evaluating expenses, and responding to client inquiries.
- Knowledge of tools like SAP, Salesforce etc.
- Industry Exposure: In-depth understanding of industrial processes across Power Plants, Cement Plants, Water Treatment, Metals & Minerals, Oil & Gas, and Pulp & Paper industries.
- Educational Background: Diploma or B.E./B. Tech in Instrumentation, Electronics, or Chemical Engineering.
- Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience in sales support, bid management, and proposal engineering within the industrial automation or analytical instrumentation domain.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Orchestrating, drafting, and sending technical and commercial proposals to guarantee timely delivery of excellent bids that correspond with client needs and company objectives.
- Manage timelines, compliance, and risk assessment so that proposals are not just on time, but on point.
- Strong understanding of CEMS, AAQMS, Mass Spectrometry, Gas Chromatography principles, Sulphur analyzers and applications.
- Good understanding of Instrumentation and Controls.
- Skill in CPCB guidelines, adherence to USEPA regulations, knowledge of EN standards, and compliance with ISO/IEC standards.
- Proficiency in MS Office, and e-tendering platforms.
- Strong negotiation, writing, and time management skills.
- Excellent communication, document presentation, and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Proven track record in winning competitive tenders.
