Deputy Manager - Process Improvement

Job Description

BE/B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Printing Technology and MBA in Operations / Strategy / General Management (preferred) with 10 - 12 years in manufacturing/process improvement roles, including 35 years in Flexographic Printing operations. Job Profile: Lead plant-wide process improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies to drive efficiency and productivity. • Implement and sustain First Time Right (FTR) quality systems to minimize defects and rework across production lines. • Drive scrap reduction strategies, perform root cause analysis, and deploy countermeasures to reduce material wastage. • Optimize Flexographic (Flexo) Printing processes, improving print quality, ink utilization, registration accuracy, and machine uptime. • Analyze production and quality data to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities for decision-making. • Develop and monitor KPIs related to quality, OEE, FTR, and scrap, ensuring continuous progress against benchmarks. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Quality, Production, Maintenance, SCM) to ensure seamless implementation of improvement initiatives. • Standardize best practices and develop SOPs to ensure process consistency and operator adherence. • Lead and support cost-saving projects that positively impact unit EBITDA and overall operational cost. • Mentor and train shopfloor teams on quality awareness, process discipline, and continuous improvement tools. • Engage in customer complaint analysis, identify root causes, and drive actions to prevent recurrence. • Coordinate with external vendors and OEMs for technical improvements in printing and production equipment Kindly also provide the information below: 1.
