To direct, coordinate & supervise the functions of housekeeping & laundry services.
2. Develop/ Improve department specific policies, protocols & processes in consultation with Sr. Manager- Non Medical Services for smooth & efficient working of the departments.
3. Ensure implementation & adherence of above mentioned policies, protocols & processes.
4. To maintain the hospital environment in a sanitary, attractive and infection free condition.
5. Coordinate with respective vendors for pest control, glass cleaning, newspapers, gardening and waste disposal and ensure timely delivery of services as per the T&C of contract
6. Ensure availability of resources (equipments, chemicals, manpower & other materials)
7. Ensure optimum utilization of resources and suggest/recommend new ways for increasing efficiency & effectiveness of resources.
8. Coordinate with the vendor to ensure vendor is complying with statutory laws as applicable & maintaining proper records of the workmen.
9. Ensure adequate number of staff in all the areas and inspects work for conformance to prescribed standards of cleanliness.
10. Ensure Zero % infection on floors in coordination with microbiologist and uphold the highest standards of cleanliness.
11. Ensure regular & timely pest control in the hospital.
12. Provide Biomedical Waste Management training to all housekeeping staff and ensure segregation, storage, transportation & disposal of waste as per laid down guidelines.
13. Ensure housekeeping equipments are fully functional at all the times.
14. Investigates complaints regarding housekeeping service and take corrective action.
15. Oversee the dispatch & receipt of washed linen from service provider.
16. Ensure timely delivery of linen in patient care departments. Maintain linen inventory. Discard/get repaired, linen as per the laid down protocols.
17. Maintain proper required records, related to linen, housekeeping department, biomedical waste disposal etc.
18. Responsible for the continuous assessment and improvement of the quality of services.
19. Maximize customer satisfaction (internal as well as external) by developing cordial work environment with other departments and smooth delivery of services.
20. Assist Sr. Manager- Non Medical Services in developing operating & capital budget of the departments and ensure adherence to the budget.
21. Provide daily & monthly reports as per the given format to Sr. Manager- Non Medical Services.
22. Work in close coordination with HR Department for:
a. Training of employees
b. Control /Reduction in attrition
c. Reduction in over time
