Deputy Manager

Purpose of the Role:

• The purpose of this role is to handle Identifying the organizations purchasing needs of casting & Machining commodity. Researching, selecting and purchasing quality products and materials. Building relationships with suppliers and negotiating with them for the best price, quantities and delivery timescales to KOV. Processing Purchase requisitions and updating Prices info record ,Supplier assessment, vendor development , management on the status of orders
• To Propel Procurement of sub-contracting machining component to improve internal and external stakeholders keeping end objectives in mind.

Responsibilities:

• Sourcing of machining commodity supplier Active participation in Pre-Bidding along with various sectors.
• Study of manufacturing process.
• Planning of activities & execution for project
• Zero base costing of machining & casting commodity
• New Vendor Development for Sub- contracting supplier
• Active support on NPDS and make sure that all aspects are being considered to achieve cost, quality, all Innovations. Should to cost drivers excellent analysis skill.
• Monthly MIS to be provided
• Develop overarching view on supplier structure and lead supplier strategy with preferred suppliers
• Maintain visibility on savings generation process from systematic hypothesis generation to actionable measure definition
• Sub-Category strategy incl. preferred supplier set, volume planning, supplier capacity development, supplier relationship management, capacity de-risking. Also do risk analysis.
• Selection of casting ,machining suppliers & consumable activity supplier
• Parallel sources development & old suppliers re-development & re-evaluation
• LOI, Purchase order checking for correctness
• Documentation of all commercial matters
• Active coordination with Engineering and Plant Procurement team.
• Cost reduction & Inventory control.

Skills:

• Techno commercial knowledge of machined components made through Casting ,machining ,Forging & Bar

Route (Various machining processes, GD&T, Commercials associated with those proceses, etc)

• Co-ordination vendor activities with quality, design & Plant Production & Procurement Team.
• Strategic thinking for driving Casting & Machining component category
• Understanding of cross-plant requirements and needs of machined components made through Casting, BAR , Forging & Machining component.
• Understanding of market dynamics and sound business judgement

good analytical skills and knowledge of various tools used for risk, financial and operational in order to achieve sustainable results.
