Designation - (Function)Dy. Manager Packing & Despatch

1. Experience in developing packaging material for existing and new products depending upon weight, size handling etc.in order to ensure maximum durability, safety and handling ease of products
2. Conceptualizing the best packaging layout for different products and segment.
3. Continuous updation of packaging material specifications and test methods.
4. Plan, co-ordinate and direct the packing team in setting/meeting goals.
5. Look into the overall packing operations on quality and continuous improvement.
6. Knowledge of Weights and Measures act and its implementation/compliance in packing activity.
7. Ensure timely and daily dispatch of both domestic and export finished products to the customers in coordination with the Production, QC and Marketing departments with the correct labels and documents
8. Experience in finalizing transportation/ transporter in cost effective manner
9. Coordinate with the Marketing department on PO, e-way bill, transporter etc for timely despatch
10. Ensure that statutory documents such as GST documents/ invoices, e-way bills, etc are properly prepared as per the GST norms for each consignment
11. Ensure proper storage, preservation of finished goods and maintain FIFO
12. Ensure proper loading and unloading of vehicles / consignments
13. Work, control and report progress of packaging and despatch to ensure that, delivery is timely and cost effective.
14. Track vehicles after dispatch
15. Attend to customer complaints received through the Marketing department on incorrect/absence of labels, inappropriate/absence of documents, leakages etc. Also investigate the matter to find out the root cause and take corrective action & put preventive measures in place
16. Knowledge of GST and related returns
17. Knowledge of ISO 9000 / IATF 16949 standards
18. Knowledge of Advance Shipment Notifications (ASN) to customers
19. Experience of working on ERP , Microsoft office (word/excel/power point etc.)
