 Deputy Area Manager - Debt Management Services - Rural 
 Job Purpose 
The Debt Management Specialist is responsible for managing delinquent accounts, recovering overdue payments, and maintaining strong financial relationships with clients.  Duties and Responsibilities 
  • Achieve collections target by visiting customers/agencies.
  • Monitor performance against set parameters and provide regular updates and guidelines.
  • Review and track milestones.
  • Ensure legal guidelines are complied with while repossessing products.
  • Travel with Recovery Officers (ROs) as required.
  • Timely allocation of cases to team members.
  • Proficient in Excel for daily tracking of team performance.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions.
  • Handle escalations promptly and effectively to resolve issues.
  • Daily DRR (Daily Risk Report) management.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve collection rates.
  • Counsel and groom direct reportees to enhance and polish their skill sets.
  • Manage a team of collection officers to achieve overall targets.
  • Rectify problems encountered during the collection process.
  • Manage average collection reports to monitor and improve collection performance.
  • Legal recovery for Urban NPL Wheels (Vehicle Finance) repo and legal management.
  • Litigation and case management.
  • Compliance and risk mitigation.
  • Reporting and documentation.

  •  Required Qualifications and Experience 
  • Proven ability to achieve collections targets through field visits.
  • Experience monitoring performance and providing guidance to team members.
  • Strong skills in reviewing and tracking milestones.
  • Knowledge of legal compliance regarding repossession of products.
  • Willingness to travel as part of job duties.
  • Experience in timely case allocation to team members.
  • Proficiency in Excel for daily reporting and performance tracking.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate customer records.
  • Experience managing escalations and resolving issues effectively.
  • Ability to manage and report on Daily Risk Reports (DRR).
  • Expertise in developing strategies to improve collection rates.
  • Skills in counseling and developing team members.
  • Experience managing a team to achieve collective goals.
  • Ability to identify and rectify problems in the collection process.
  • Experience with legal recovery for vehicle finance, repo, and legal management.
  • Knowledge of litigation, case management, compliance, and risk mitigation.
  • Strong reporting and documentation skills.
