Deputy Area Manager - Debt Management Services - Rural
Job Purpose
The Debt Management Specialist is responsible for managing delinquent accounts, recovering overdue payments, and maintaining strong financial relationships with clients. Duties and Responsibilities

Achieve collections targets by visiting customers/agencies.

Monitor performance against set parameters, provide regular updates, and offer proper guidelines.

Review and track milestones.

Ensure legal guidelines are complied with while repossessing products.

Travel with Recovery Officers (ROs) as required.

Timely allocation of cases to team members.

Proficient in Excel for daily tracking of team performance.

Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions.

Handle escalations promptly and effectively to resolve issues.

Daily management of DRR (Daily Risk Report).

Develop and implement strategies to improve collection rates.

Counsel and groom direct reportees to enhance their skill sets.

Manage a team of collection officers to achieve overall targets.

Rectify problems encountered during the collection process.

Manage average collection reports to monitor and improve collection performance.

Legal recovery for Urban NPL Wheels (Vehicle Finance) repo and legal management.

Litigation and case management.

Compliance and risk mitigation.

Reporting and documentation.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Experience in achieving collection targets through customer/agency visits.

Ability to monitor performance and provide regular updates and guidelines.

Proficient in Excel for performance tracking and reporting.

Experience in legal compliance for repossession activities.

Team management, including case allocation and tracking team performance.

Experience in handling escalations and resolving issues.

Ability to develop and implement strategies for improving collection rates.

Experience in counseling and grooming team members for skill enhancement.

Knowledge of legal recovery processes, repo and litigation management, compliance, and documentation.
