Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Depot Operations:

Supervise daily bus operations, schedules, and route planning.
Monitor departure, arrival, and turnaround times.
Ensure timely reporting and documentation of operations.

Staff Management:

Manage driver and maintenance staff deployment and attendance.
Plan shift rosters and ensure adequate workforce availability.
Address staff grievances and support team motivation.

Maintenance & Fleet Management:

Coordinate regular bus maintenance, inspection, and repairs.
Maintain records of vehicle upkeep, breakdowns, and service schedules.
Liaise with workshops and technical teams for operational readiness.

Safety & Compliance:

Enforce safety protocols for staff and passengers.
Ensure compliance with BMTC rules, government regulations, and labor laws.
Conduct safety drills and training sessions for staff.

Customer Service:

Resolve passenger complaints and feedback in a timely manner.
Ensure the depot premises are clean, safe, and accessible.

Administration & Reporting:

Prepare operational, payroll, and performance reports.
Monitor expense budgets, fuel management, and revenue collection.
Support audits and internal controls as required.
