The ideal candidate will analyse historical data, market trends, and sales insights to generate accurate forecasts. This individual will work closely with sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to ensure demand signals are effectively captured and translated into actionable plans.

The role will be critical in enhancing forecast accuracy, reducing stock-outs and excess inventory, and supporting overall business growth through better planning discipline.

Job Profile

• Develop, maintain, and update demand forecasts at product, region, and customer levels.
• Work closely with manufacturing teams to align production schedules with demand forecasts
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and key account teams to incorporate market intelligence, promotions, and new product launches into forecasts.
• Analyse historical sales data, trends, and external market factors to build accurate and reliable demand plans.
• Drive continuous improvement in forecast accuracy by monitoring performance and addressing root causes of deviations.
• Provide timely and accurate demand inputs into the monthly S&OP cycle.
• Work closely with supply chain and production teams to highlight demand variations and support alignment with supply capabilities.
• Prepare and present demand-related insights, risks, and opportunities during demand review meetings.
• Track and report demand planning KPIs (forecast accuracy, bias, demand adherence) and support corrective actions.
• Contribute to the annual operating plan and budgeting process through robust demand projections.
• Ensure effective communication of demand assumptions, changes, and rationale across stakeholders.

Skills/Requirements

• Experience working with good brands / consumer-facing companies is essential
• Strong analytical and statistical skills with hands-on knowledge of planning/ERP tools (e.g., SAP equivalent).
• Proficiency in Excel and data analysis for forecasting and reporting.
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and influence decision-making.
• Detail-oriented, results-driven, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under deadlines.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
