Job Description

Key responsibilities Deliveries: Promptly and safely deliver products to customers while following assigned routes and schedules. Loading and unloading: Carefully load and unload items from the delivery vehicle. Customer service: Provide friendly and efficient service, answer customer questions, and handle complaints or issues. Payment collection: Collect cash or process other payments from customers when required. Record-keeping: Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including customer signatures and transaction details. Vehicle maintenance: Keep the delivery vehicle clean and perform basic maintenance to ensure it is in good working order. Safety: Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving. Reporting: Report any issues, accidents, or discrepancies to a supervisor. Required qualifications and skills Valid driver's license: A valid driver's license is a mandatory requirement. Clean driving record: Employers require a clean driving record for safety and insurance purposes. Time management: Excellent time management and organizational skills are needed to meet delivery deadlines. Navigation: Good navigation skills and familiarity with local routes are crucial for efficiency. Communication: Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for interacting with customers. Problem-solving: The ability to handle and resolve problems that may arise during a delivery. Physical fitness: The physical ability to lift and move heavy items is often required.
