Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Dean (Computer Science/Computer Application) at RIMT University located in Mandi Gobindgarh. The Dean will be responsible for overseeing the academic and administrative functions of the Computer Science/Computer Application departments. This includes curriculum development, faculty management, research supervision, student advising, and enhancing the department’s educational and research standards. The Dean will also play a key role in strategic planning, industry partnerships, and community engagement.

Qualifications

• Extensive background in Computer Science or Computer Applications
• A

  Ph.D. degree

  in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Information Technology, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a closely related discipline from a recognized university/institution.
• Experience in academic leadership and faculty management
• Strong research and publication record in relevant fields
• Proficiency in curriculum development and academic planning
• A minimum of

  15 years of teaching/research/industry experience

  in Computer Science / Computer Applications / IT, of which at least

  5 years should be at the level of Professor

  in a recognized university/academic institution.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to build and maintain industry partnerships
• Experience in strategic planning and resource management
• Doctoral degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications, or a related field
• A strong research portfolio with

  high-quality publications

  in reputed journals (SCI/Scopus indexed).
• Supervision of

  Ph.D. / M.Tech. scholars

  .
• Strong skills in

  resource mobilization, networking, and stakeholder engagement

  (industry, alumni, government bodies).
• Prior experience in a senior academic or administrative role is must.
