Hands on experience in fixing L2 and L3 issuesHands on experience in installation configuration and maintenance of DB2 database environmentsPatches and fix pack implementation for standalone and rolling upgrades in HADR environmentsDB2 version upgrades and license managementExperience in creating instances and database objects including databases tables tablespaces schemas indexes views and stored procedures and managing DB2 registry variables DBM and database configuration parametersImplement and maintain database security by creating and managing users and roles and granting and revoking privileges on database objectsGood exposure to SQL tuning DB and DBM parameter tuning memory allocation tuning and database snapshotsGood experience in creating event monitors explain tables for db2advis and db2expln using db2pd and snapshots for monitoring and performance tuningAnalyze complex and long running SQL queries using db2expln and db2advis utilitiesImplement backup strategies including offline online full incremental and delta backups for development QA and production environmentsDatabase cloning using redirect restore performing frequent QA refreshes from production and rebuilding HADRExperience in recovering data using crash recovery and roll forward recoveryAutomated database maintenance utilities such as REORG REORGCHK and RUNSTATSExperience in data movement utilities including load import export and db2moveExperience in monitoring databases and tuning configuration parameters to improve database and application performanceHands on experience in building HADR multi standby environments with automationHands on experience in DPFHands on experience in SQL replication and Q replicationKnowledge of IBM tools including Data Studio IBM DSM DB2 Admin Console and DBIExperience in writing and understanding Unix and shell scripting
